Aidarini Vines

Goumenissa is a small picturesque town situated at the food of mount Paiko (1650 m) and was formerly an important commercial center due to the viniculture but also sericulture. There are several writings speaking of ist fine red dry eines, which were been exported since the 19th century.
Goumenissa is one of A.O.C. greek regions and voneyard mostly consists of the red grapes Xinomavro and Negoska, also the whites Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay. The adequate soil but also the climatic conditions are composing a perfect microclimate for the production of fine eines. Grape-harvest is tardy and usually takes place at the end of September or early October.
The family Aidarini produces wine since late 19th century. This activity was also strengthened by implantier 10 ha of own vineyard as the also co-operates with vine-growers inside the A.O.C. region of Goumenissa. The company keeps a family character. The whole effort was recompensed by building a new, fully equipped winery established in 1998 while the old and traditional Cellers remain very attraktive and open for the visitors.
The production is quite modest and up to 120 tons/year.

Wines

Sauvignon Blanc
White wine made from Sauvignon Blanc. It is very fruity exotic aromas such as mango and pineapple.

Enjoy it at a temperature of 10°C with mediterranean dishes,
seafood, fish, poultry, cheese and fruits.

A wine with a deep reed color with a elegant Aroma. Dry red fruits, wood, spices and Vanille notes.

A wine with a deep rubinreed color. Typical Xynomavro with flavors of berries, plums and vanilla.

Didymos
A deep red color and a very interesting Cuvee: Agiorgitiko, Mavrodafnio, Mavroudi, Merlot, Negoska, Refosco, Xinomavro.
Not only his taste, but also the reason for its Genesis are interesting: 8 winegrower from allover Greece bring their best grapes together to celebrate their children: all twins! The production is limited..
It has a complex, robust and aromatic character.

Enjoy it at a temperature of 16-18°C with lamb, red meat, grilled vegetables, mushrooms, sauces and cheese.
